our staff

Brad Hays, the company founder and senior consultant, has more than 30 year’s experience that includes small business ownership/start-up, agriculture, mining, mental health, higher education, retail management, and the military. Brad is an Emeritus Faculty having spent 15 years as a faculty member teaching supervision, human resources, business management, labor relations, marketing, and leadership to both traditional college students and corporate employees. Brad is SPHR (Senior Professional Human Resources) Certified by the Human Resource Certification Institute as well as SPHR-SCP (Senior Certified Professional) Certified by the Society for Human Resource Management. Brad’s diverse background provides an outstanding foundation upon which to work with organizations in identifying solutions to improve workforce performance that ultimately improves business profitability.

who is oliver?

We occasionally get calls asking for Oliver from those that don’t know us. Oliver lived over 100 years ago at the beginning of the last century. His name was chosen as the corporate identity due to the stories that were told of his life. He was an oil man that lived in an oil rich area of West Virginia and died during the Great Depression. Unlike many that came out of the oil industry, he did not become rich. According to family lore, he wasn’t motivated by financial gain, but rather preferred to take care of others. His motivation was focused on community and family. His life ended much too soon due to an illness acquired when fighting in the Spanish American War but the stories kept his gentleness and kindness alive to the generations that followed him. It is the goal of Oliver Hays Corporation to honor the name of Oliver by helping others create outstanding organizations by focusing on the world’s most valuable resource, its people.
